Wedding Ceremony Music
Choosing the right songs for you
Wedding ceremony music is always a big decision, the songs can reflect yourselves as a couple, as well as who you are individually. I love singing at wedding ceremonies and I am always honoured to be asked to sing such important songs, whether it be singing solo or part of the acoustic duo. If this is your first time down the aisle it can all be a bit confusing, for example how many ceremony songs you need, when are they sang. The typical songs sang are:-
- Entrance Song x1
- Signing of the Register 2/3 songs
- Exit Song x1
But how do you make such a decision? Some of you may already be sorted, you may even have had your songs since before you got engaged! Or you may be sat at the other end of the scale, staring at a Spotify playlist your friend sent you feeling pretty overwhelmed by the endless list of songs out there.
Well hopefully I can help take the pressure away with a couple of ideas for you.
Firstly don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It is your wedding day, not the last set of songs you will ever listen to! Write a list of the songs that bring back great memories which make you both smile, ones where the lyrics speak to you and ones that you both just really like. Yes it can be as simple as that!
Secondly, your songs don’t have to be ‘love songs’, they can be any song you want. I have sang a mixture of songs, gorgeous love songs and also upbeat dancing songs. Each song fit the couple perfectly! What I am saying is that there isn’t a ‘wedding ceremony song choice rule book’ which you have to adhere to. Go with whatever songs you want. If you want to come down the aisle to AC/DC then bloody well do it!!
Remember the day is all about the two of you! Try not to let outside influences get the best of you, sometimes people mean well but they can be a tad controlling. Obviously, that is fine of course if you are happy for the help.
Lastly, enjoy every second. It will be a whirlwind but you will ride it out together and every time you hear your song choices on the radio you will smile and think back to your beautiful day.
I am always happy to chat all things weddings and how I can add to your day! Check availability now.

P.s.
The only thing you need to be aware of is if you are having a Civil Ceremony your song choices can’t reference religion, I have changed lyrics before to make them fit so it isn’t a problem.
