North West Band The Midnight Cats for St Ann’s Hospice Charity

North West Band The Midnight Cats

In April The Midnight Cats were invited to play at Key 103’s Chelsea Norris’ Ladies Night, ‘Spring into Fashion’ for St Ann’s Hospice.  The event was held at The Village Hotel, Cheadle and it was a fab night.  There were lots of different stalls selling all sorts of gorgeous items from jewellery to garden furniture.  You could also have you hair styled, make-up done or if you needed it, your eyebrows threaded, it was definitely a brilliant night for the ladies!

The Midnight Cats set up on the stage and played a variety of songs while the ladies arrived, drank some fizz and browsed the different stalls. We went down really well, they were a very appreciative audience. It was a bit different from our usual gig but we had a ball.  St Ann’s Hospice is very important and means a lot of things to a lot of people, so we were happy to help out.

Chelsea gave a little introduction to the evening and spoke about her own personal experiences with St Ann’s hospice and then the main event of the night began, which was the fashion show.  The models looked fab and the clothes were gorgeous and they were a really decent price (everyone loves a bargain!). There were a lot of happy ladies in the room!

It was lovely to work alongside such caring people and of cause the fabulous Chelsea Norris, who is just as lovely in real life as she is on the radio (not a crazy fan, honest!!) Having grown up in Manchester and listened to Key 103 breakfast for a very long time, it was great to meet her.

After the fund raiser Chelsea sent us these very kind words…

“I had the pleasure of working with The Midnight Cats recently on a charity event I organised for St Ann’s Hospice.  They were happy to help and arrived early – set up their fabulous equipment and looked great.  Their voices and live stage presence was fantastic.  They would be a credit to any event or wedding and I’m very grateful to them for helping to really make the night.”

It was our pleasure and I am proud to add that altogether on the night we raised a whopping £1000 which is fantastic!
