Abbeywood Estate Wedding Band – Holly + Gemma

Abbeywood Estate Wedding Band

In May The Midnight Cats performed at Holly and Gemma’s wedding at Abbeywood Estate, Delamere.  It was the first time that we have played at Abbeywood Estate and it was brilliant. It was set in gorgeous grounds and the room was really quirky, I loved it.  The room was decorated in a rustic way with beautiful flowers on the tables, Gemma’s mum made lots of bits and did the decorating, it looked fab. She also had the brilliant idea of human shaped lollypop sticks and they asked each guest to use the colours and draw themselves in clothes on one side and beachwear the other. The idea being that when Holly and Gemma were sipping a cocktail on the beach in Brazil on their honeymoon, they can take their guest with them!  I stayed away from the drawing as I can only manage stick men and that is on a good day. Ste and Joe did a brilliant job as you can see in the pictures below.

We started the night off with Gemma and Holly’s first dance which was ‘Never Tear us a Part’ Paloma Faith,  it was a great moment to be apart of as their closest family and friends crowded round to watch. I just love singing the first dance!  Throughout our correspondence on the run up to the wedding we found out that Holly is a big fan of Florence and the Machine, as it was one we used to play we brought it back as a surprise. We went straight into ‘You Got The Love’, it was a massive hit and instantly got everyone on the dance floor!

As a band we love our food, so some buffets really stand out to us and this was one of those…Abbeywood Estate had set up an outside pizza oven and it was definitely worth queuing up for!! In fact if we had time I may have snuck to the back of the queue with glasses and a fake moustache to get another!                   Second set saw several dance off’s and tambourine playing, it was just the way we like it! They were a great crowd and really made our job easy.

After the wedding Holly and Gemma posted these very kind words on The Midnight Cats Facebook page

“To all you cats!! You were absolutely amazing last night and the none stop dancing made our day!!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful job, well done!! We will be recommending you wherever possible, we loved you!!! Thanks very much again, love from the Crockers!!!!”

It really was our pleasure, Gemma and Holly were the perfect couple, we had such a ball! Below are a few pictures for you to take a look at, I am becoming quite the photographer!!

If you are looking for a wedding band then please do take a look at The Midnight Cats, we can cater for all events and most of all we just have a great night. Oh and with a bit of decent music thrown in!
